At the Neyagawa Campus of Setsunan University, the English Game Circle meets regularly to play board games and card games in English. If you are a student at Setsunan University, join us in the common area of the 1st floor of building 3 every Friday during 2nd period and lunchtime to play games. Students of all years and majors are welcome! You can bring your lunch with you and eat while we play.
Playing games in English can give you the opportunity to practice speaking English in a low-stress environment. You can sharpen your English skills and learn things that rarely appears in textbooks. For example, you can learn how to explain and listen to rules, how to cheer for and encourage others, and how to discuss game strategy. Playing games also sharpens your thinking skills. These are all practical skills that can be useful in the future.
The English Game Circle also meets for longer game days during the spring and summer breaks. Our last long game day was held on September 8th, 2024. Three alumni, who were former English Game Circle members, also joined us. In addition to playing games, current students were able to talk with the alumni about job hunting, working life, and graduate school life.

摂南大学寝屋川キャンパスでは、英語でボードゲームやカードゲームを楽しむ「イングリッシュゲームサークル」を定期的に開催しています。摂南大学の学生の皆さん、毎週金曜日の2限と昼休みに3号館1階の共有スペースで一緒にゲームをしましょう。学年・専攻は問いません！お弁当を持って来て、遊びながら食べることもできます。
英語でゲームをすることで、ストレスの少ない環境で英語を話す練習をすることができます。英語のスキルを磨き、教科書にはめったに出てこないようなことを学ぶことができるでしょう。例えば、ルールの説明の仕方や聞き方、応援の仕方や励まし方、ゲームの作戦の立て方などを学ぶことができます。ゲームをすることで思考力も磨かれます。これらはすべて、将来役に立つ実践的なスキルなのです。
イングリッシュ・ゲームサークルは、春休みと夏休みにも長期ゲームデーを開催しています。前回の長期ゲームデーは2024年9月8日に開催されました。イングリッシュ・ゲームサークルの元メンバーである3人の卒業生も参加してくれました。在校生はゲームだけでなく、就職活動や社会人生活、大学院生活について卒業生と語り合いました。
